AutoBuilder now available!
Finally the all-new AutoBuilder is available!
For those of you who do not know the AutoBuilder yet, it is a little tool that streamlines your SWF Studio workflow.
It will monitor your SWF (or any other) file for changes and then starts the SWF Studio build.
Now there was already an AutoBuilder that did exact the same thing more than a year ago, so why do you call it all-new?
Because there are some great new features in there!
You can find the full description on the AutoBuilder page, but I´d like to mention the most powerful feature here, the JScript API.
The AutoBuilder allows you to set up so-called JScript modules that will execute your code on certain events. These modules have access to all SWF Studio commands so you can include all kind of additional functionality around your AutoBuilder.
There are a few modules that come with the AutoBuilder to show you how to use these modules, including a simple log-file module as well as a more advanced example that shows how to inject variables at compile-time into your swf file without the use of MTASC or similar tools.
Don´t want this post to be longer than the Hello World post, so that´s it for now, check out the AutoBuilder and let me know what you think!

It would be nice to be able to drive AutoBuilder from a command line (i.e., as an External Program from within Eclipse). I’m just trying to figure out how to get either SWFStudio v3 or AutoBuilder to build my project AND then run it, without having to leave Eclipse and go touch the GUI.

Hi,
The link to download Autobulder isn’t working for me. I contantly get a “connection with the server was reset” error. I’d love to try the tool!

Hi guys,
sorry for the late reply.
k-lens, not sure what you mean. As soon as the trigger file is changed there is no need to leave your IDE. What exactly would you like to trigger the bild process? After all you can still simply execute an spg file to have SWF Studio build it for you, look up the docs on that.
The Download links work for me, tested on two machines.
Just drop me a mail and Ill send you a copy

Hrmm… I can’t get the installer to work in Vista x64. I see the “Now loading,… AutoBuilder for SWF Studio” splash logo, but nothing ever happens - I even tried running in compatibility mode (XP,SP2) and “Run as Admin” (even though I am one)… nothing’s working
